Here’s an article from FashionWeekDaily in which Christian Louboutin talks about Jennifer Lopez and her new single “Louboutins.”
Sure, Christian Louboutin is opening a brand new Chanel Shoes store in Miami this week,Christian Louboutin Pumps, but that was only the second topic of the conversation during his encounter with The Daily in South Beach. Instead, we had to know about his big foray into pop culture immortality, thanks to Jennifer Lopez’s new single, “Louboutins,Herve Leger,” from her upcoming album Love?. “Jennifer told me about the song back in January, and I was extremely flattered,” recalled the French shoe guru. “But of course, in America the public pronounces my name in like a million different ways. So Jennifer called me, and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure that I get it right.’ And she did…from the very first time!”
“I know the song by heart now,” added the designer. “Because the
brilliant part of the single is that it’s not about me. It’s about a girl and her Christian Louboutin
Paola 100 ankle boots. When something is so in mass culture and you have almost nothing to do with it, it’s kind of cool. It’s weird but not disagreeable. But it got me thinking: I’ve been
around for a while!” Louboutin has already started working on some shoes for the music video Christian Louboutin that will film next month. As for how many times his famous name is mentioned in
the lyrics? “That would be 45,” he laughed. “Trust me, I’ve counted!”
